Nickname Registration
A visual aid in registering your nickname using the /REGISTER command.

To register your Nickname you will need few things: 

  1. A nickname.
  2. An email that can receive a verification email.
  3. A password.

Once you have all of those, you can go ahead and type the following into IRC:

/register your-password-here your-email@address.com 

It is recommended that you perform this command in the “server information” tab of your IRC session, so that in-case you mistype something, your password and email has no chance of being visible to anyone else.

Once your nickname is registered, you may login to it by using the IDENTIFY command, followed by your password:

/identify your-password-here
